HMP race for street stocks

I'm there if they stick to the Kyle rules. I looked into running the outlaw series for just a couple of races a year in Pensacola and it looks like you're going to have to have a completely different car in order to be competitive. Please don't make us spend a bunch of money. There are tons of Street stocks with the Kyle rules and we're stuck without a place to race. Thank you hmp thanks Raymond for what you're doing. Brian Schneider #49 street stock.

Metroracer: I agree with you - it's all about car count and resurrecting asphalt racing in the great state of Texas. HMP is the perfect place to do it. I'm going to support these two events as best that I can. With only two races there will be two racer winners and the rest will finish as they finish. This is just too important to start spewing 'this-and-that'. About the only thing different I'll do to the 55 Stock Car is add a Victor intake and fiberglass hood. I believe we have the rest of the Olds motor figured out. I'm not going to bother switching the shock locations around - stock it is. We also have a full float 9" Ford that we'll be putting in. My car knows how to get around HMP - and it doesn't do too bad down the straights.

I do hope that my son (rocket55) is able to pull together a decent 'Outlaw Stock' in time. I know he has the chassis and is working on putting a motor together. Anything that anybody can do to provide my son with 70s Camaro parts would be very much appreciated! But I still plan on taking him to school!

God bless us all! And God bless racing!...

And yes, I'll probably have to update the belts and nets in both the Truck and Stock Car...

I agree with you rebel, Kyle rules maybe with a couple of tweaks hear and there. Keeping the cost as low as possible, that's always a issue. CTS seem to have a good car count. Not that my car is anything close to those cars , I'd have to change my alot on my car, but would do my best to get it back out. Radracer, you gotta bring out the stock car. Good to hear your son is putting a car together, to cool to see father and son racing together. Hope all goes well, and racing comes back to HMP. Thanks to all that has put their time , hard work and money in hope of bringing asphalt racing back.

Fix your car to race at the lowest cost to you. This deal is two fold. Number one is to see how many cars are currently out there. Those cars need to show in force for the track can actually see what everyone has. That way they can develop the classes in a way they don't lose cars. The first race is critical that as many that can show show as is. Number two is the track building on what they saw in race one to the future.Again race two needs a good showing too for the track can judge the commitment. This is not just about saving HMP.It's not about winning or how you place in these races. It's about saving asphalt racing in Texas. This is asphalt racers last chance. SAS needs too much repair. I don't see CCS returning . This is it. Traveling to Houston to race has got to be better than traveling to Alabama or Florida on a regular basis.Good luck HMP and all involved.
