DCRST shifts Season Opener

Austin, TX (January 28, 2017) - In what has been the most unpredictable off season in recent memory the A-Line Auto Parts DCRST Dwarf Car Series has moved their 2017 season opener on March 4th to Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige. The season opener, originally slated for Central Texas Speedway, will be the first official race event for DCRST at the super fast, smooth CBS facility off Hwy 290 East.

“With the uncertainty at CTS it became imperative to get the first date solidified and, thankfully, Danny Bennett at CBS made every effort to add us and allow us to keep the date,”said A-Line DCRST co-manager Rodney Rodriguez. “The change also allows us to fully support our partner A-Line Auto Parts on their huge show featuring Kenny Schrader making this a total win for all.”

DCRST is also slated to appear at CBS on 4/22, 7/15 and 8/12.

The 2017 season schedule continues to be built with the re-organizaions, additions and changes with member tracks, but the task has been tall. “We are working on six dates at South Texas Speedway and w are also in negotiations with the new regime at I-37 Speedway in Pleasanton to firm the balance of the schedule,” said DCRST co-manager Butch Havelka. “It is every intent to get these dates added and keep the CTS dates on the calendar should that situation represent itself."

Long regarded one of the most exciting racing series in Texas, the A-Line Auto Parts DCRST Dwarf Car Series fields approximately 20 cars per race event. In the past the series has competed on black top and dirt racing surfaces making the concept of the series quite unique. The series looks forward to another great season in 2017 and beyond.
