Josh42 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2016 Well unless someone who has ties to the racing community purchases it at the auction, that will be another racetrack gone for sure in Texas.
RodneyRodriguez 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2016 By the looks of that bid minimum anyone who was wanting to lease CTS could buy this one for less. Day job I say many times, purchasing is a much better option than leasing.

RodneyRodriguez 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2016 Don't worry the county will get that if that is the case. Other than improvements and operations the new owner has a new slate to start off with.

Radical 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2016 I saw that the back taxes are around $53,000.00. I hate to see someone take this property and use it for industrial purposes. Come on Nick. Be a track owner. You might bring this old man out of retirement.

Jason 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2016 Did a quick check and the property seems to be free of any other liens.
NickHolt 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2016 Did a quick check and the property seems to be free of any other liens. Thanks for sharing that info, Jason. Do you plan on bidding on the place on Tuesday?
Jason 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2016 (edited) No, but I hope somebody with good intentions does. Given the super inflated value that the Nueces County Appraisal District has it assessed at, I'd imagine its on the radar for several groups. If someone wants this property, do not let it go to auction. I suggest they contact Monroe and an Attorney TODAY. You can have it pulled. And the Tax Office may offer a payment plan. taxman 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2017 I made a cash offer on the property a few weeks ago and the realtor never even got me a counter!
taxman 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2017 I actually feel that Kandy wants it to go to Auction because she will get whatever difference between what is owned for taxes and the auction price. She also won't have to pay any real estate commission.
SamDuncan 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2017 HAHA Some people have no clue but I bet the track is and will stay owned by Dan and Kandy but what do I know
NickHolt 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2017 That's true, Sam. We have no clue. All we can do is report what seems official - and the tax lien and published auction notification seems pretty official to me. But if you have insider information, I'd be more than happy to post for you. Nick
SamDuncan 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2017 Nick I understand that whats reported might have been true at the time but mistakes are made everyday by all of us ....Go to the auction and I'll bet CC Speedway is not on the block
