Wichita Speedway (formerly Red River) reopens for 2017 with full schedule

 

Wichita Speedway, the quarter-mile bull ring, previously known as Red River Speedway has officially reopened.

 

Wichita Speedway is a part of the racing and entertainment facility known as Wichita Raceway Park, which includes a drag strip, dirt track and soon to be mud drags.

 

Opening soon will also be The Champions Club, the entertainment venue located under the grand stands at Wichita Speedway which will be a host to a number of concerts and other events.

 

Wichita Raceway Park is owned by Iowa Park locals, Darrell and Randell Reid who also operate the drag strip, Wichita Raceway.

 

Wichita Speedway is operated by former racer, Kathryne (Minter) Koch, who is looking forward to bringing dirt track racing back to Wichita Falls. Koch has a number of exciting events coming in 2017 that you won't want to miss!


The season will kick off in late February with a play day which all classes/cars are invited to attend.

 

Opening night for Wichita Speedway will host the NOW 600 Non Wing and Restricted 'A' Class Micros and all four of Wichita Speedway's weekly classes.

 

Wichita Speedway will be joined by a number of traveling, open - wheel series including, ASCS Red River Region, Elite Non-Wing Sprint Car, the Touring Outlaw Modifieds Series, as well as many more.

 

The 2017 points season will wrap up in October, and followed by the annual Falls Town Showdown the last weekend of October!
