New Hampshire Motor Speedway Race Notes:

Austin Wayne Self (AWS) driving his No.22 AM Technical Solutions Toyota Tundra suffered a blown engine resulting in an early exit and 29th place finish in Saturday’s UNOH 175 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. After qualifying 22nd for his NCWTS debut at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, AMS took the green flag and began his climb up the leader board. However, on lap-25, the Texas born driver started reporting high engine temps along w/ water spewing from his Tundra truck. Despite the early warning signs AWS was able to race his way into the 15th position by lap-30 of the scheduled 175-lap event. But continued dangerous engine temps soon resulted in several pit stops to help remedy the concern. Temporarily cooling off the truck AWS was confident and back on track. Short-lived, the motor temp spiked again on lap-128 resulting in a blown engine which sent the 22-truck hard into the outside wall ending AWS’s day early with a disappointing 29th place finish.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway Post Race Quote:

“This was not the day we wanted. The overheating was a major concern almost from the start. The guys did everything they could to keep it cooled but in the end there was nothing from keeping our engine from blowing. Disappointing for sure, but we’ll gather up and be ready for Vegas next week.” -Austin Wayne Self
