Although it’s only my first start in the truck I’ve had some strong runs the last couple years in the ARCA Series. I’m going in with some experience so it should reduce the learning curve. Rick (Ren) has put together a good game plan and the guys in the shop have worked hard preparing a good piece for the weekend – I’m hopeful, expecting a strong run. -Austin Wayne Self MIS track surface receives prep prior to NASCAR Weekend: Michigan International Speedway is doing some extra preparation to its track surface before the return of NASCAR action this weekend. The speedway has been utilizing a “tire dragger” – which is dragged along the surface to help apply extra rubber. It’s the same device used by Kentucky Speedway after its repave and Bristol after it “polished” the lower racing groove.Track: Michigan International SpeedwayRace: Careers for Veterans 200 presented by Cooper Standard100-Laps/200 Miles (NCWTS Event 14 of 23)Date: Saturday, August 27, 2016Broadcast Information: 1:00 PM EST.
