STSScoringDirector
In the results, he is listed as 563. He was driving substitute car last. Points go to driver not car. He signed in as the 563 and switched cars number after he was already signed in for the night.

HiTech
THIS is from an 82 year man not from me . ....he loved the shows he loved the way the track ran each race back to back ..a couple of things he did not love out of the over all . ,,was way to much time on yellows ..his main concern was getting the cars cleared off the track .way to slow for the wrecker service though he knew some cars could not be just hooked and go to him it was just no hurry in many of the other cases that could have been sped up .... but other than that he loved everything else and will be back .......whacky night yes I told him that was not the norm
arob
I don't mind the longer yellows when they are used to give time for cars in the hot pit to change flats and get back into the race.STS has been doing this for some time and I applaud it. Keeps more cars on the track.
marinedvl1982
Hitech it was just one of those nights were cars kept getting locked up. And it wasnt even a full moon either. I think the heat over the past week got to the guys lol

arob
Just because the 11 and 41 were 1-2 in Streets and looked faster than most of the LLM's is all. Just a fan observation.
drew
Arob...I would agree..And im in LLm...People forget that most cars in our class aren't much more than a SS on big tires, body, and maybe a 4bbl.... and the 2bbl is competitive to a 4bbl at STS..Some of us have purpose built LLm chassis that were designed from a camaro stock clip like mine is but lack all of the extra bars required in the SS class. ( there is alot more in the sense, but nothing that gives big advantage) To actually have a big difference between the two, more changes to our class would have to be made and allowed...So it doesnt surprise me and welcome it..I wont even say drop the extra weight... Plus...there is ALOT of driver experience in the SS class...Some of us are still learning in many areas...
top_shelf_12
Street Stocks do appear faster. Next time they both run, I'll compare times. The 11 and 41 Street Stocks are fast. The old STSSS cars all appear faster than the LLMs. Not meaning to sound like I'm bashing the LLMs, more of a compliment to the SS cars. That and Street Stocks seem to have more car control. racerguy8811
My car the 11 SS is a Nesmith legal car on the hard tires. I bought the car out of Louisiana and very pleased. I'll be back down there either the 20th or the big race. Feel free to come talk to me and look at the car. Probably less motor than any other SS out there. Taz Racing
I-37 tried this one night and ended up tearing up the LLM's. Yes the SS are fast and we all know this but the all aluminum body cars with front bumpers made out of thin tubing (like EMT tubing) won't take the abuse of most SS and there heavier weight. Ask Kody Hardage from STLMS. His LLM was totaled that night. The true Late Models wouldn't let us run with them due to our cars being heavier. This is going to be bad for the LLM class with carnage and expense. We're trying to build the class and this will hurt all of us on a limited budget. top_shelf_12
Didn't mean to imply anything illegal Shawn, it was more of a compliment to how your car runs. Wade's too and most of the STSSS/Nesmith cars. Just seems like they're quicker, maybe they are, maybe they're not. The SS cars seem to be a little more smoother too. Not trying to knock anyone else either. Like Drew said, a lot of the LLMS are still learning in some aspect and I couldn't tell you if the SS is easier to drive than a LLM. hray
I've timed them both. As a rule, the LLM's are 0.5 - 1.0 sec faster than the SS's. An example was Sat. nite where the 77, 42, 15 were faster than the T9. The 14 and 57 were probably also faster if they could have gotten into the clear where they could run their own line. I also have to agree with Gary when it comes to durability of the SS compared to the LLM. Whenever the T9 made contact with John or Gary, it was the steel body that had the better survival rate. It's just a matter of weight and strength. As far as carbs are concerned, John runs a 4412 and he was right there with Landon, so my opinion has always been there is no advantage of the 650 vacuum secondary over the 4412, and the double pumpers and big 4 barrels have to run extra weight..
