toyotatim
Mr. Truex has been through a lot in the last year or so with his girlfriends health and things that have happened to him on the track when he had a dominate car. Not once did he complain about the cards he was dealt in life with his girlfriend, his team being an underfunded single car team or about on track incidents. He could have won numerous races, however due to things beyond his control, it just did not happen. It all came together this week in the Coca Cola 600, he dominated the race and won with his girlfriend there looking healthy again. This guy knows how to win with Grace and lose with dignity. This guy never used the "poor me" BS that you hear the ungrateful kids using today. He never slapped the people in the face by crying underfunded or this guy did this and this guy did that. He respects his owners for giving him what they can, respects that in racing and life, stuff happens. That is one thing every kid in racing needs to learn. Regardless what level you are at, there is always an underfunded team that has bad luck. The way you handle it is the report card of your upbringing. Be grateful for any ride, there are a million kids that cant even afford to go to the track, much less drive a race car. Congrats to Mr Truex, you are one fine gentleman
Wayne Walker
That's one of the main reasons I like him as a driver. He is one of the very few I would like to meet someday. He definitely put on a clinic Sunday.
Big G Smith
I had the good fortune to meet Martin Truex at a NAPA Auto Parts Corporate event held at CTS a few years ago. (When he drove for Waltrip Motor Sports.) He was down to earth and really easy to talk to. He spent a lot of the night racing with the NAPA guys in the CTS Go Karts. Always thought it was just a matter of time till he would be winning races. . .

HiTech
WELL I don't usually agree with Toyotatim here . this one time I have to agree 100 percent ... I like martin .because of the way he has paved his way and really never heard a complaint from him or about him ..though I thought the race was kinda lame I was amazed at the team and driver staying on the same page and keeping the car sticking to the track , he truly won that race with no help from others or nascar flag throwing bs .nascar would have not ever wanted to throw a flag if they did not have too with this race and am glad the others loosing tires did a great job of getting out of the way they knew what was at stake ...it looked good at all the fans who understood what that driver and team had just pulled off and stayed to stand and clap for him ... to bad we did not get to see the dale sr salute the teams gave martin going down pit road ..nascar needs to realize they have three or four up and coming stars .. 42. 24. 78 . 3. maybe 17 ...
