TwoWheeler
Here's a video of the May 31st sport compact race, compliments of # 71's dad in the stands taking the video. Checkout the crash at 3:55. I'm number 27. PM me any feedback. I'd love to hear it. Thx. Please don't post anything personal about that crash to this post. HiTech
Three or four wide that's what fans love to see go through a race like that with out wrecks side by side and they will talk bout that and or those races for years .some love wrecks that's a giving but .it takes skill .understanding .give and take and caring with out giving up the passion to beat that and those other drivers . that is the kind of drivers racetracks strive for .racing like that brings the fans out brings the sponsor the respect from fans the future racers want to join and may have not looked at your class before ..wrecks will happen nature of racing but each driver has the control if they use it to keep those to a mini .. cars being wrecked out kills your class .. you cant go forward and win races if your sitting in the pits with a pile of junk .. top_shelf_12
I remember the collective gasp from the CCS Bombers making it through turn 1-2 and down the back straight at SAS one OctoberFast, a feat no one thought possible and especially on street tires but they did. That was the buzz all night. Of course that was arguably one of the best groups of drivers in any class. The days when Bobby Jack, Wesley Black, Corey Viar, Donny Nesloney etc were in that group. People were asking us if they always did that and we said yes, on a 1/4 mile bull ring. Missing both of those tracks now, SAS and CCS.
arob
The videos I have seen of the Sport Compacts show me they are the raciest class at CTS ! Be thankful you are in a class that can race like that (2 and 3 wide). True , it can bring out an " OOPS!" moment in some. I know it sucks to be on the receiving end of one but they happen and as long as it is not a common thing ,,,,

JamesHigdon
Looks Iike someone either ran out of brakes or patience. Before selling your car maybe you and a few of the other folks involved in the wreck should ask him/her? Drivers can police the track just as easy as anyone else can; if enough people make it clear to others nonsense will be dealt with swiftly maybe it'll stop? It doesn't have to be confrontational, just a simple and clear message.
geetar
We all make mistakes out there. Just takes practice and luck to keep our mistakes from hurting others on the track. With me, I practiced until I couldn't spin my car out without saving it. Last time I solo spun it was in early 2015. I learned to control slides and pushes by practicing in the rain. 60mph down the straights, 40mph through the corners sideways.

HiTech
ERIC you were fortunate to be able to practice as much as you did .some aren't as lucky as you and get that time ,you guys work hard with little money you have no question there , you know things happen in racing and there isn't much you can do about it its painful loosing a car all that work and money and time put into it . . the good thing is both of you walked away from it . that is more important than a chunk of metal .. That car's still got about 12 good feet, it ain't done yet! I got some extra parts to replace broken ones, and a few decent sized trees around. Woulda drove it off the track if the steering shaft hadn't broke.
