by Lonnie Wheatley

MUSKOGEE, Okla. (April 29, 2016) – With Friday night’s scheduled slate of action rained out at Outlaw Motor Speedway, next up atop the 3/8-mile clay oval near Muskogee is Thursday’s NASCAR Night.

The Thursday night, May 5, NASCR Night will feature NASCAR stars Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace making an appearance at Outlaw Motor Speedway as they both compete in the IMCA Modified division.

Added money will be up for grabs for each of the IMCA divisions as well on NASCAR Night with the IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Grand Nationals and Pure Stocks on the card highlighted by the IMCA Modifieds.

A NASCAR veteran of 30 years before retiring from the premier series at the conclusion of the 2013 season, Fulton, MO, native Ken Schrader has competed in essentially every form of racecar over the course of his career from Indy Cars and Sprints Cars to Late Models, Sports Cars, Modifieds and Stock Cars.

Likewise, Kenny Wallace of St. Louis spent 25 years in the NASCAR ranks and still keeps up a hectic schedule of dirt track racing throughout the nation.

Schrader and Wallace will take on the best that Outlaw Motor Speedway has to offer in the IMCA Modified ranks with Leroy Cook, Jr., currently leading the track championship points race by just two points over Danny Womack with Dalton Clay, Kent Bright and Ted Holt, Jr., among others in the title mix.

Several other invaders are expected as well for Thursday’s NASCAR Night $1,000-to-win IMCA Modified feature event.

The IMCA Sport Modifieds compete for $500 to win on NASCAR Night with $400 to win posted for the IMCA Stock Cars. The Grand Nationals race for a $400 winner’s share with $300 up for grabs for the Pure Stocks.

While Leroy Cook, Jr., holds the current Outlaw Motor Speedway points lead in IMCA Modifieds, other current championship chase leaders include Caleb Edwards in IMCA Sport Modifieds, Dale Richardson in IMCA Stock Cars, Heath Weston in Grand Nationals and Brady Smith in Pure Stocks.

General admission tickets for NASCAR Night on Thursday, May 5, are available for $15 with Senior Citizens and Military admitted for $10. Children ages 6-12 are admitted for $5 with children five and under free. Pit passes are available for $35.
