rebelracewriter Posted April 28, 2016 Report Share Posted April 28, 2016 Wet weekend in Texas soaks USMTS plansGREENVILLE, TexasDue to the amount of rain that has already fallen, and a dim forecast of heavy rainfall throughout the weekend, USMTS and track officials have pulled the plug on this weeks trio of events in Texas.The 2nd Annual North Texas Nationals at the Superbowl Speedway in Greenville will move to next Thursday, May 5, prior to contests at the Lubbock Speedway on Friday, May 6, and Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo on Saturday, May 7.The shows originally slated for this Friday at the Kennedale Speedway Park and Saturday at the Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore have been canceled.Next weekends tripleheader will be the final events in the USMTS Production Jars Southern Region presented by Day Motor Sports. I'd be willing to bet that the percentage of races rained/weather related cancelations is pretty close to the amount ran in the past 8 years.
