Steve,

I imagine it will be between 8 and 12, but 10 sounds about right from what I am hearing from various folks.

As you know, James and I are far more interested in running a series where good sportsmanship, clean driving and maintaining a positive, family atmosphere are far more important than producing high car counts. As we begin our third season, the Lone Star Legacy Series has grown steadily and we anticipate that 15 cars will be registered by the end of the 2016 season since we are aware of a few folks who are either obtaining Legacys or already have cars that are being made race ready.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!

But only 11 will be starting the feature due to Kit Leslie and Matt Yevcak involved in a practice accident which caused enough damage to park the cars. Both drivers OK, but it was a solid hit.

We had a very good race with the Allen Sampson nipping his brother Dillon at the finish line by a 0.09 second. It takes you longer to blink than that... Young Gabriel Fogg showed old pro James Huff how it's done to finish third with Del Harris finishing a strong 5th. Rookies James Remore, Jaida Simental. Colt Mize and Brad Harden had fun racing each other a little further back while Alexis Leone and Rocky Mize had mechanical troubles and pulled in early.

We had 13 Lone Star Legacys in the pits, but an unfortunate practice accident involving Matt Yevcak and Kit Leslie sidelined both those cars with significant damage. Hopefully both will be able to get things back to ship-shape and join us in April.

Someone who has obtained a Legacy was with his son in the pits with us, but the car is not quite ready for track time. And we had a couple more inquiries over the past couple of weeks from folks looking to get involved with the Series.

All in all, it was a milestone night for the series - except for the practice crash.
