Xmod 97 do you work at the track or are you an official that makes this call? I don't know who you are is why I am asking. Not trying to question your authority. Just want to know who is stating this.

I was under the impression based on Nesmith Weekly Rules that Hoosier D21 & D55 stamped "Crate Racin' USA" and shoulder plated were allowed. The D21 must punch 46 or harder when cold and the D55 must punch 60 or harder when cold.

If only D55 are allowed I am fine with that but if both are allowed I would like to know that as well.

Battleground, Cottonbowl & Bronco are the only Nesmith tracks in Texas...Crate 55 is the only tire Battleground has allowed for 3yrs. now, Bronco is going by the same rule...Not saying that's why Cottonbowl did it but it would make sense if that's why they did it...STLMS is a D-55/AR 56 only deal as well so it could also be to keep everyone that wants to run the Nesmith & STLMS from having to buy 2 different type compounds...

Nah man, oilfield is dead right now so I'm broke. One more year is all I'm racing then anything related to me and racing will be few and far between. Still love the sport but it's become a joke and a pain in the keester. Always said when I wasn't having fun anymore then I was walking away, after 16 I'm walking away.

Tire rule they have decided on makes more sense than being the only track in the entire state that's running 21's then forcing the guy's that want to run the STLMS stuff to have to buy another set. I don't see eye to eye on much but I have to agree with the Crate 55 rule only.

We have 3 OPTIONS on engine packages in STLMS and 2 Tire OPTIONS of any D-55 or AR-56...I get what your saying, Kody and I honestly discussed adding the Crate 21 and 1350 (which is the same compound as the Crate 21) to the STLMS for 2016...Kody spoke to some guys, I spoke with some guys and majority wanted to stay with our current tire rule to save on tire expense...Makes no difference to me either way, I always keep 1350's in case I decide to go race out of town...

At the end of the day as bad as it pains me to say I think the track made the right call based on the majority around them...I will say this, if Crate 21's were allowed there would be no option to run 55's unless you want to be running in the back getting lapped...Everyone knows what the Crate Option has done to the IMCA Mod class...The CT525 was fixing to do the same thing to USMTS a few years back until Todd choked that OPTION down and made it irrelevant to run anymore...

We went with D55 because other Texas Nesmith tracks run that tire, and STLMS runs that compound. These tires will last longer on our track. All will be on same tire CRATE 55 only.

Thank you Jimmy Dearing for the clarification. Sorry for opening up this can of worms. I am relatively new to this deal and didn't realize that the other Nesmith Tracks in Texas were running the D-55 only. Not that it matters but I agree with this decision made by the track and officials. It will be better for everyone involved in my opinion.
