We are inviting all our Lone Star Legacy drivers, crew and families to celebrate the 2015 season on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Car Bar at Central Texas Speedway. Some beautiful trophies will be presented and some great food will be consumed.

We are also inviting any folks who are seriously considering running with the Lone Star Legacys next season. This will give us a chance to get to know each other and see if we're a good match for your team.

Starting around noon and sandwiched between CTS;s GoKart sessions and our Awards Ceremony, the track will be available for "Test and Tune" sessions for Lone Star Legacy cars during the day - weather permitting. The usual CTS fee will apply for anyone wanting to use the track. Not sure yet exactly what time the actual Awards portion of the day will take place, but we'll let you know in this thread.

Steve "The Chef" Fogg will be cooking up some brisket for the Awards Ceremony portion of the day and Janette "One Race Suspension" Huff will be making the Car Bar look very racy. There is no charge to partake of the meal, but donations will be gratefully accepted. Also, if anyone would like to volunteer to bring food to go with the brisket (side dishes, deserts, bread, drinks, etc) please let us know.

Although there is a CTS charge to use the track, there is no charge for the Awards Banquet.

In order for us to have enough food available, we need to know how many are planning on attending. So please let us know in this thread or email Janette Huff at huffindustries@aol.com or Nick Holt at nick.lssz@gmail.com

Hope to see you there on Dec 12th!

Make that three! I'll be there. And I know Steve Fogg is going to be there with some yummy BBQ. That's four. And I imagine the rest are just waiting to see how their social calendar fills up before making their RSVP.

Looks like we'll have a good group on hand for the awards ceremony.

We plan on eating and celebrating starting around noon. And then after everyone is all fed and honored, we'll take to the track in our Lone Star Legacys for some test and tune time! Sounds good?

I'm sorry, Steve, but Gabriel is way too short for that car. On the other hand, I'm probably about the right height!. Of course, the last fire suit I owned is now in the Smithsonian museum. And the helmet was a Snell 1945 model...

I don't like the sounds of the weather forecast for Saturday. I'm not saying it will rain at the track, but it WILL rain in Central Texas on Saturday afternoon. Scattered showers for sure preceding a cold front that comes through late Saturday....

I checked with Alan and he basically said that if he were coming to our event he would leave his car home...

We're here at CTS and enjoying a FEAST.... Steve Fogg has once again cooked up some of the best brisket I've even had... I mean that boy should quit his day job and open a BBQ joint...

Up next are the awards to our Lone Star Legacy stars.
