Current IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series Points:

Elaine Larsen Clinches the Jet Dragster Championship

NORWALK, Ohio (September 29, 2015) - The San Antonio Nationals Fueled by Sunoco is in the books and only one more race remains to determine the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) World Champions. Elaine Larsen clinched the Jet Dragster championship and the Summit Racing Equipment World Finals featuring Nitro Jam on October 9 - 10 will decide the remaining four championships that are up for grabs - AMSOIL Nitro Funny Car presented by Aeromotive, Pro Stock, Crower Pro Mod and Nitro Harley.

2014 IHRA World Champion Elaine Larsen defended her title and claimed the Jet Dragster championship last weekend at San Antonio Raceway. Larsen has tallied four wins and five runner-up finishes in the 2015 season. Kat Moller, Marisha Falk and Shea Holbrook round out the top-four in the point standings heading into the World Finals.

In the AMSOIL Nitro Funny Car presented by Aeromotive class, Jason Rupert continues to lead the point standings. The California native has four wins and three runner-up finishes in his "Bays & Rupert Black Plague" Camaro this season. McIntire and his "McAttack" Camaro have tallied four wins and one runner-up finish heading into Memphis. Rupert sits in the top spot with 960 points over McIntire's 869; 91 point difference. The Nitro Funny Car class takes the points from the best 10 out of 12 races to determine the championship winner.

Cary Goforth took over the lead in the Pro Stock class after last weekends win at the San Antonio Nationals. The 2014 IHRA Pro Stock World Champion is looking to defend his title against John Montecalvo who is displayed in the second position. There is a 28 point difference between the number one and two spot. Goforth has two wins and two runner-up finishes and Montecalvo has two wins. John DeFlorian Jr. rounds out the top-three in the standings with 611 points; 81 points behind the leader.

The point leaders remain the same in Nitro Harley and Crower Pro Mod as those classes did not compete at San Antonio Raceway. Jay Turner is 67 points ahead of Tracy Kile after 10 Nitro Harley races this season. Dina Parise leads the Crower Pro Mod class over Bill Lutz. Parise has a 31 point lead over Lutz prior to the World Finals at Memphis.

The IHRA Nitro Jam season concludes at the Summit Racing Equipment World Finals featuring Nitro Jam at Memphis International Raceway on October 9 - 10.
