arob
Seasons are winding down and there are MUST SEE! events coming in October. The first is the BIG season ender at Cotton Bowl Speedway Oct 9 and 10.CBS had over 110 cars the last two races and there is no reason not to believe they will be well over that for this event. This is A MUST SEE! The next weekend at Devils Bowl Speedway is the 42nd Annual Winternationals headlined by ASCS Sprint Cars in Mesquite. For those who have not been to Devils Bowl it is a bad fast high banked 1/2 mile.Sprint Cars here are breathtaking!A couple of neat things about DBS is paved parking and the back straight is 8' higher than the front straight so the fans can see the cars over the infield pits. This is one neat Speedway! The third must see is Shady Oaks Speedways Holloween Havoc Oct.23 and 24 in Goliad .Last year 145 cars showed making this year a two night affair. So fans there are some BIG races coming up.Visit these tracks websites for more details like supporting classes and payouts. Then plan to make one,two or all three if you can. I know Central Texas Speedway in Kyle and Kennedale Speedway Park and South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi are having big season enders also.Point is in this Great State of Texas find you a track/tracks to go to in October. You WILL NOT be disappointed! arob
Race weekend is near! Headlined by Cotton Bowl Speedways big shootout race! This Friday and Saturday event has it all,Eco-Stocks, IMCA Hobby Stocks,I-Stocks,Sportmods and Modifieds. If that wasn't enough add to that the South Texas Street Stock Shootout,305 Sprint Cars and the Southern Texas Late Model Series ! Now this is a full plate! Check Cotton Bowl Speedway's website or postings here on LSSZ for schedules. Down in Corpus both South Texas Speedway and Corpus Christi Speedway are racing with the headliner here being the Texas Asphalt Limited Modified Series at C.C. Speedway.Just a heads up here being the forecast is iffy.C.C. Speedway drains really good and can take a bit of rain so if those going to STS and they rain out be sure and check CCS as they may still be running.Bottom line wherever you are hit a track racing near you! top_shelf_12
According to weather.com, forecast has changed, just 40% tomorrow, 20% Friday and 10% Saturday in CC so looks good for both tracks. Paige forecast even better so should be a great weekend for some late season racing!
