DIRT TRACK RACING RETURNS TO TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY FOR PORTACOOL U.S. NATIONAL DIRT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP

FORT WORTH, Texas (Sept. 3, 2015) - The upcoming Portacool U.S. National Dirt Track Championship will take on a new feel as the factory stock division will compete on the .4-mile Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track for the first time in history.

The division that features American-made passenger vehicles with an unaltered frame is part of a tripleheader weekend Sept. 11-12 at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track that also includes Limited Modified and ASCS Sprint Cars for the Portacool U.S. National Dirt Track Championship.

More than 150 limited modified and factory-stock competitors - including more than 25 from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex - already have pre-registered for next weekend's event that will continue to grow in size. Highlighting the list of pre-registered drivers include the two previous winners of Limited Modified events at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track - Tracy Denby Jr. and Nick Clinkenbeard.

Denby Jr. enters as the defending champion of the Portacool U.S. National Dirt Track Championship while Clinkenbeard collected his first victory at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track during May's Portacool Texas World Dirt Track Championship.

Heats for Limited Modified and Factory Stock Cars as well as ASCS Sprint Car practice will be on the track Friday, Sept. 11, beginning at 6 p.m. CT. All three division championships will be decided Saturday, Sept. 12, with racing beginning at 7 p.m. The Portacool U.S. National Dirt Track Championship is the last of two dirt racing events held annually at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track.

Grandstand tickets for Friday, Sept. 11, are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under, and $25 for adults and $10 for children for the following night's championships on Sept. 12. Fans can save $5 on admission by purchasing their ticket at any participating O'Reilly Auto Parts store.
