All roads lead to Boone for Sept. 7-12 IMCA Super Nationals

 

BOONE, Iowa – Boone Speedway becomes the center of the dirt track racing universe for the Sept. 7-12 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

 

Drivers from more than 20 states and Canada are already registered for IMCA’s centennial season Super Nationals. They’ll chase shares of a purse that exceeds $275,000 and more than $60,000 in contingency awards at the 33rd annual version of America’s Racin’ Vacation.

 

“We continue to pride ourselves on the total purse paid out and contingencies awarded to drivers at Super Nationals and rightfully so,” IMCA President Brett Root said. “We’re looking forward to celebrating our 100th year at Boone Speedway during the biggest and the best race of the season.”

 

A very driver and fan-friendly format will be continued as racing begins at 2 p.m. each day of Super Nationals.

 

The first champion of 2015 will be crowned on Monday, Sept. 7, Labor Day. The Late Model feature is part of the Deery Brothers Summer Series. The entire Sport Compact program is on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

 

Hobby Stock and Northern SportMod qualifying is Monday and Tuesday; Modified and Stock Car qualifying completes race programs the next three nights.

 

The $1,000 to win Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational is on Friday, Sept. 11.

 

Following last-chance events for the Modifieds and Stock Cars, the Saturday, Sept. 12 program boasts race of champions and main events for the Hobby Stocks, Northern SportMods, Stock Cars and Modifieds.

 

The Modified champion earns a minimum of $2,000, plus another $100 for each of as many as 50 starts made during the weekly point season. That adds up to a potential $7,000 payday.

 

The Late Model feature pays $3,000 to win, with another $1,500 possible in bonus money. The main event for Stock Cars pays $1,000 to win, along with a bonus of as much as $2,500.

 

Northern SportMods race for $1,000 and Hobby Stocks for $600 to win, with another $1,250 in bonuses possible in each division. Sport Compacts vie for $250 to win, plus $5 for each of as many as 50 starts.

IMCA.TV will broadcast live from Boone Speedway throughout the week of Super Nationals, beginning with the 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6 practice session.
