Current IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series Points:

 

Kat Moller Takes the Lead in Jet Dragster Competition

 

 

 

NORWALK, OHIO (August 19, 2015) - The Mopar Nationals presented by Williams Racing at Grand Bend Motorplex marked the 10th Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series event on the 2015 schedule. With only two events remaining, every team is pushing their limits to gain valuable points and claim an International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) World Championship.

 

The biggest move in the point standings following Grand Bend is Kat Moller. She took the lead in Jet Dragster competition after her victory last weekend. 2014 IHRA World Champion Elaine Larsen fell one spot to second and is five points behind Moller with 914. Marisha Falk sits third in the points and is still in the chase for the championship with 850 points; 69 points behind Moller.

 

The points leaders remain the same in AMSOIL Nitro Funny Car presented by Aeromotive, Nitro Harley, Crower Pro Mod and Pro Stock classes. Jason Rupert gained a few points after his runner-up finish and is now 104 points ahead of Mike McIntire Jr. Jay Turner continues to lead in Nitro Harley and Tracy Kile took over the second spot. Randal Andras fell to third in the standings after not racing at the Mopar Nationals presented by Williams Racing. Dina Parise has a 31 point lead over second-place, Bill Lutz in the Crower Pro Mod class. Lastly, John Montecalvo and Cary Goforth are separated by 33 points in the Pro Stock class.

The next Nitro Jam event is the San Antonio Nationals Fueled by Sunoco at San Antonio Raceway on September 25 - 26, 2015. The two-day event will feature sportsman and professional drag racing action. Tickets are available online at www.NitroJam.com.
