South Texas Speedway
South Texas Speedway is already working toward 2016. A few items to note: The schedule will be very similar to this year. We will be adding a Bomber Class: It will be open to all 4,6,8 cylinder cars. Must be stock. New rules coming soon. We will also be having a few enduro races and destruction nights. It should be a great 2016 year!! Ken Hobbs
BobbyJack
SWEET ON THE BOMBER CLASS, STREET TIRES AND 7 INCH WHEELS? MUCH BETTER STARTER CLASS FOR YOUNGSTERS I THINK, ESPECIALLY AFTER LAST FEW EMOD RACES. JMO
Flyin34
Young drivers weren't the culprits this week. I'd rather Ryan be in a safer EMOD than a 4 point roll cage bomber. JMO
PerezMotorSports
I agree with Gregg ! Young drivers weren't the culprits this week. I'd rather Ryan be in a safer EMOD than a 4 point roll cage bomber. JMO

BJ34
So what does that mean about the sport compact will they be put into the bomber class?
top_shelf_12
If it's a 4 cylinder mostly stock car, then it looks like it.
BJ34
It a mostly stock mustang with a six point cage but I dont see how its fair v8 vs a 4 cylinder thats like have a pro modified run against a street stock. Not much chance unless the v8 is running bad.
top_shelf_12
Well, Mods are in Street Stock now lol. My concern is the weight variance. Let's say a four cylinder Mustang or Neon gets sideways and a big Caddy comes along and hits that 4 banger, won't be pretty.
HiTech
turbo charged 4 banger wont have much problems . think it is time to let them run..
sm002
It a mostly stock mustang with a six point cage but I dont see how its fair v8 vs a 4 cylinder thats like have a modified run against a street stock. No chance unless the v8 is run bad. I have seen a mini stock run just fine with pure stocks.

2damslow
full frame bomber smashes a unibody 4 cylinder and we will scrape up car and body parts
arob
Guess we will have to wait until the rules come out and see but putting a sport compact with big cars doesn't seem like a good idea to me. As for E-Mod vs. bomber if my grand daughter wanted to race I would lean toward E-Mod.You can bet she wouldn't be racing without a HANS and a containment seat .I also think the minimum age should be 15 . But thats just me.
BobbyJack
THERE ARE KIDS RACING NASCAR TRUCKS AT AGE 16, I THINK THEY PROBABLY STARTED AT LOCAL TRACKS AT A VERY YOUNG AGE, NOT THAT ANYONE AROUND HERE IS GOING TO NASCAR BUT YOU NEVER KNOW. top_shelf_12
Thought NASCAR had a strict 18 age requirement but I haven't paid attention to them in a few years now, except the El Dora race, I'll watch that one.

Racer26
Owen let me start my kid out in bomber at 10 after he proved he could drive in hot laps. Then went to sportmod at 14 per IMCA rules. 16 in mods.
