Fort Wayne, Indiana (Wednesday, July 29, 2015): The Broaster Chicken ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour will resume the first ever Northern VS Southern Division head to head match-up that was rained out on July 18th. The Genuine Broaster Chicken / Dean Best Memorial 50 Presented by Jason Dietsch Collision, Customs & Sales is on Saturday, August 1st as the fast 1/2 (0.500) mile semi-banked paved oval of Baer Field Speedway in Fort Wayne, Indiana will host the premier open-wheeled Modified tour in the country and conclude the events of July 18th that were rained out.

Joining the ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour will be four of Baer Field Speedway's Fort Wayne Transmission 'Hot 5' divisions and all four will race on the adjoining 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval. The AR Bodies Late Model Sportsman, Kings John Services Street Stocks, Afdent Dentistry Mini Stocks and Grote Automotive Compacts will all be in action on Sharper Image Fence Night at the Races.

Back on July 18th and after Economy Auto Parts Qualifying was complete as well as the 12-lap Last Chance Race, Mother Nature paid a visit to the historic Fort Wayne, Indiana speed plant forcing ICAR and Track Officials to postpone the main event to Saturday, August 1st. The 24-car field has been set and should any of the set 24-car starting field not be able to make the trip back, alternates from those teams who were on hand on July 18th only, have been established with those participants who didn't transfer into the show.

All-Time Career Leader in wins in ICAR history, Brian Nester as well as Fort Wayne veteran, 2012 Track Champion as well as 2010 BFS Late Model Sportsman Track Champion, Steve Minich Jr., will lead the stellar 24-car field to the green flag for the 50-lap main. The 24-car starting field will get two Practice Sessions and then nine drivers from the starting grid will be selected to race in a special Dean Best Memorial Australian Pursuit to kick off the night before the 50-lap main later in the evening.

Earlier in the afternoon back on July 18th in Economy Auto Parts Qualifying, Bud Adams won his second Fast Qualifier award of the season over a stout 29-car field with an 18.505 around the 1/2 (0.500) mile semi-banked paved oval. His lap measured out to 97.271mph. The ICAR Track Record remains with Adams who, back on September 18th, 1999, almost 16 years ago, turned in a 17.790.

In the 12-Lap Last Chance Race, Mark Bott led all 12 laps to secure his place in the main with veteran Don Skaggs finished in second ahead Travis Stepp and ICAR North Overall and Rookie Points Leader, Jason Parish as Damon Breedlove, the all-time career leader in starts in ICAR history, completed the top five. James Krueger, Dave Nester and 15-year-old North Rookie, Dustin Jackson would also transfer into the show.

Also earlier that day, South Rookie of the Year points leader, Trei Deubel withdrew from the event, which moved 16th place qualifier, North Rookie, Bobby Heyink into the starting field. In addition, leading up to the rescheduled date, Bott would also withdraw from the event. This will place Mel Klein, who finished ninth in the Last Chance Race, into the show. The two remaining alternates are Two-Time BFS Late Model Sportsman Champion (1996 & 1995) Roger Saylor and 1997 Modified Track Champ and Two-Time (2013 & 2004) BFS Late Model Sportsman titlist, Johnny Gatton Jr.
