What great racing South Texas fans go in July ! Started off will the great show South Texas Speedway put on July 4. Follow that up with the awesome Hudgeons Memorial at Texana Raceway Park July 10 & 11. Central Texas Speedway in Kyle had huge crowd and car counts for their July 18 race. And what a way to finish the month off than with the ASCS weekend at Shady Oaks Speedway with great racing from every class. ASCS sure delivered! The good thing about all of these events was good crowds at all of them. Fans we need to keep it up in the month of August. Starts off with the Back to School bash at South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi on August 1. Central Texas in Kyle is running same day for the asphalt fans. August 8 brings the South Texas Shootout to Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige and the Texas Asphalt Limited Modified Series at Corpus Christi Speedway. August 15 brings us back to South Texas Speedway and August 22 is the great Bicycle Giveaway at Shady Oaks Speedway in Goliad. The biggest race event of the month is the ASCS Sprint cars at Cotton Bowl in Paige also on the 22nd.The 29th we have Central Texas in Kyle and the First E-Mod blowout with $1500 to win for this exciting and growing class at South Texas Speedway in Corpus. So you see there is a lot to choose from in the month of August. If you live in the areas of these tracks go to one. These tracks are playing catch up from cancelling due to all the rain earlier. On that note no track was hurt more than South Texas Speedway in Corpus so make as many of his dates as you can.But go somewhere!

Lol. I was encouraged by the crowd at Shady Oaks this past weekend. It was much better than the last time ASCS is there. There are very good racers in this area and I feel if I can get a few people to see that it could snowball little by little. Just trying to do my little part. The product is good in South Texas especially in Pure Stocks , Sportmods ,TALMS and Street Stock Shootout. I hope South Texas Promotions can grow and help participating tracks.

It would be great if there were about 10000 more fans living in South Texas that were excited about racing as much as Arob.

He does a good job!!!

arob....not to steal your thunder, just add to your list of August events.....Marble Falls Lakefest w/Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series(Aug. 7-9), IHRA Pro-Am, San Antonio Raceway(Aug. 14-16).....There's plenty of action for any/everyone to fulfill their 'need for speed'.....You should start an upcoming events post.

I just push my little corner of the world, places I've been to and know for sure the product is good. The one place I'm dieing to go to is Kennedale.Rained out the last time we were in Dallas. Looks like a fun place with huge car count.A fun trip would be Heart of Texas on Friday and Kennedale on Saturday! Gotta save some$$$!

Forgot to mention Cotton Bowl in Paige is running the South Texas Late Model Series on August 29th. CBS bringing its fans the two fastest dirt cars (Sprints and Late Models) on back to back weekends.Add in the Street Stock Shootout on the 8th August is a great month for Cotton Bowl! Gonna make the 8th and gonna try for 8/22.
