I guess E-Mod is thought of as a beginner class because so many young (20 and under) drivers are in it.And they do a good job btw. Those hard tires seem to be a great equalizer too. The rules as they are seem to be working so lets hope they stay as is also. Thank you Mr. Pittman for starting this class a few years ago.And thank you Mr. Hobbs for keeping them. Started with 4 or 5 cars and has steadily grown to the 19 or so that showed this weekend.

Just wanted to comment as to who this class was designed for. When Owen Pittman started this class it was designed to give beginners a place to move up to, youth go kart drivers and pures moving into a new class. It was not intended for modified drivers to move down to even though that was allowed. One of the other provisions of the class was to keep it cheap. The only two changes from the original set of rules we're adding headers and power glide transmissions to what was already allowed stock manifolds and turbo 350 transmissions. This class has been very successful as was intended let's keep it that way.

Yes it was weard how some of the fast cars hit the chip N some didn't.

rear gear change those that were hitting the chip at flag stand were running sts gear and only chip allowed is 6000 . so those who didnt hit chip changed gears or did not have the right chip or other ways to over come it !

TRAVELING IS EXPENSIVE, SUPPOSED TO BE INEXPENSIVE CLASS, PURSE NOT BIG ENOUGH TO SUPPORT TRAVEL, IDEA WAS TO KEEP PURSE SMALL TOO KEEP BIG DOGS FROM BRINGING ONE AND TAKING THE MONEY. THEY HAD GOOD TURNOUT MAINLY BECAUSE EVERYONE JUST WANTS TO RACE SOMEWHERE RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE HAD TOO MANY RAINOUTS. I AM PUTTING ONE TOGETHER FOR GRANDDAUGHTER NEXT YEAR BUT ONLY TO RACE AT STS AND OR GOLIAD, NOT TRAVELING. JMO, SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS

arob unless rules are stated otherwise... big dogs will show up nature of the game .all you can do is hope they sit this one out .and most of those purestock drivers are good so why are they not considered big dogs ..just asking ...
