postell4270
I think it's a great class and hope it grows to more then just one track
arob
I guess E-Mod is thought of as a beginner class because so many young (20 and under) drivers are in it.And they do a good job btw. Those hard tires seem to be a great equalizer too. The rules as they are seem to be working so lets hope they stay as is also. Thank you Mr. Pittman for starting this class a few years ago.And thank you Mr. Hobbs for keeping them. Started with 4 or 5 cars and has steadily grown to the 19 or so that showed this weekend. johndoe78415
Just wanted to comment as to who this class was designed for. When Owen Pittman started this class it was designed to give beginners a place to move up to, youth go kart drivers and pures moving into a new class. It was not intended for modified drivers to move down to even though that was allowed. One of the other provisions of the class was to keep it cheap. The only two changes from the original set of rules we're adding headers and power glide transmissions to what was already allowed stock manifolds and turbo 350 transmissions. This class has been very successful as was intended let's keep it that way.
rebelracewriter
My take.... Chips.....many of the cars were hitting the chip at the flagstand......6500/6800? I mentioned racing them after the sprints rubbered the track up probably wasn't ideal.....but the sprints aren't there on a regular basis so that's a moot point. j.j.&s.racing
Yes it was weard how some of the fast cars hit the chip N some didn't.
sm002
6500-6800 might as well run a pure stock. The chip is a lot of why I want to run this class
jameslee4133
Yes it was weard how some of the fast cars hit the chip N some didn't. rear gear change those that were hitting the chip at flag stand were running sts gear and only chip allowed is 6000 . so those who didnt hit chip changed gears or did not have the right chip or other ways to over come it ! ebco2468
Let the rules stay the same with one provision that the track can set chip to there track 1/4 mile track works at 6000rpm and 3/8 mile track works better at 6500 this is example only and could work
drttrk25
both of our cars where hitting chip, I have no problem with a 6000 chip and leave rules as they are. if it a'int broke don't fix it.
og39ss
Agree... leave chips and rules alone..class has been growing. .if you want to change anything change our pay to at least same as purestocks...just my opinion.
j.j.&s.racing
yes pay should be addressed. but I guess it is with 1500. to win later next month lets go boys and girls
marinedvl1982
Just throwing this out there. I talked to dan a couple weeks ago about running emods at cc speedway and he said hes all for them running there as long as there is a car count. You wouldnt have to change the chip or tires. BobbyJack
TRAVELING IS EXPENSIVE, SUPPOSED TO BE INEXPENSIVE CLASS, PURSE NOT BIG ENOUGH TO SUPPORT TRAVEL, IDEA WAS TO KEEP PURSE SMALL TOO KEEP BIG DOGS FROM BRINGING ONE AND TAKING THE MONEY. THEY HAD GOOD TURNOUT MAINLY BECAUSE EVERYONE JUST WANTS TO RACE SOMEWHERE RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE HAD TOO MANY RAINOUTS. I AM PUTTING ONE TOGETHER FOR GRANDDAUGHTER NEXT YEAR BUT ONLY TO RACE AT STS AND OR GOLIAD, NOT TRAVELING. JMO, SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS
Purplehaze93
Traveling is not a good idea.
arob
Agreed. I hope "the big dogs" don't dominate the race on the 29th. Don't mind Pure Stock or 4-banger drivers but not above pures. Pet peeve of mine.

HiTech
arob unless rules are stated otherwise... big dogs will show up nature of the game .all you can do is hope they sit this one out .and most of those purestock drivers are good so why are they not considered big dogs ..just asking ... marinedvl1982
Iam not saying traveling to HOT or anything like that. Just keep it at the surround 3 tracks ccs, sos, sts. Just giving the drivers more options to race.
arob
I know Hi-Tech. I argued last year to no avail.I took big dog to mean Street Stock and up as it relates to E-Mod with no offense to other classes.Pure Stock drivers are very good especially around here. drttrk25
for the race on the 29th all I ask for is a level playing field, cars must bang on a 3000 chip and have all wires to limiter accounted for. no grooved tires and correct tires. play by the rules for this class
jamescd
Can anybody race on August 29th. Or does it have to be reg Emod drivers?
