Mopar Nitro Jam Rocky Mountain Nationals Presented by Good Vibrations Returns to Castrol Raceway

 

 

 

 

NORWALK, Ohio (July 14, 2015) -The Mopar Nitro Jam Rocky Mountain Nationals presented by Good Vibrations returns to Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta this weekend.

 

 

 

The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) has traveled to Castrol Raceway to celebrate one of Canada's biggest and most exciting drag racing events since 2003. The three-day event features drag racing action in more than a dozen categories with qualifying on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18 and eliminations on Sunday, July 19, all at Castrol Raceway.

 

 

 

This weekend marks the first time that the AMSOIL Nitro Funny Car presented by Aeromotive series regulars and Nitro Harley regulars will compete in Edmonton. The Rocky Mountain Nationals is included as part of the season long battle for the championship with these classes. Spectators will witness the largest AMSOIL Nitro Funny Car presented by Aeromotive field in history compete at Castrol Raceway.

 

 

 

In addition, Top Fuel dragsters are scheduled to compete with Bruce Litton switching up his Funny Car for a Top Fuel dragster. Litton and Jenna Haddock (U.S.A.) will go up against David Fedorowich from Canada for the top spot at the Rocky Mountain Nationals.

 

 

 

The Mopar Nitro Jam Rocky Mountain Nationals presented by Good Vibrations will pair up with with the IHRA's Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour as racers in Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Stock, Stock, Quick Rod, Super Rod, Hot Rod and Junior Dragster, plus local competitors in Castrol Raceway's weekly bracket program, battle it out for an Ironman trophy and championship points. Points and big money are on the line for all of the teams in attendance as the best racers in the world travel to Alberta for championship drag racing.
