Fun-Hundred Info and Forms

Recommended Posts

Some of you may have seen this event on Facebook and in the Corpus area, on billboards and media outlets. For those of you not familiar, we are hosting a Go Kart Invitational with all proceeds benefiting pediatric cancer research on Sunday, May 3rd, at Funtrackers Fun Center. This has been a group effort by several parties to put this event together and made some wonderful partners along the way, including racers, promoters, track owners and sponsors. There will be some silent auction items and t-shirts available to be "purchased" with donations. As for the racing side, there will be a series of races where you can challenge the "Young Guns" and the "South Texas Pros" in a series of heat races then the top 30 go through A Qualifiers and we have the best of the best in South Texas battle it out on the newly remodeled Pro Track. I have attached all the necessary forms that need to be signed and brought with you to the event. We have locked in a vast majority of the field but there will be a draw for the remaining slots and all times are in the forms attached, as well as the rules, race format, schedule and the waiver. The event is free to the public to watch and we do encourage donations to Kick Pediatric Cancer. To donate directly to the event, follow this link and directions to make donations: http://www.kick-it.org/games/2015/05/the-funtrackers-fun-hundred-karting-invitational

Again, thank you to all of our donors, sponsors, and track officials, drivers, crews and families. The event staff cannot thank you enough for all of your contributions and we look forward to a great event for a great cause. The list is long so I won't try to name anyone because I know I'll forget someone but this has truly been a group effort on all sides and we'd like to see that number double or triple by the time the event is over, so let's make it happen South Texas and show why the racing community is the best group to be a part of!

Well, even in a Go Kart Steve Whiteaker Jr, can win as he beat our Craig Oakes and Kenny Smith in the Fun Hundred Invitational. We had a great group of drivers racing and the racing community proved how strong and compassionate they are. Still getting the final totals but a significant amount was raised for pediatric cancer research so Thank You to all involved in any way.

Just a small part, credit goes to Scott for most of the organizational stuff and Stephan with a great format along with Sheryl and Alia's contributions. The drivers and sponsors made this HUGE. A lot of awesome people in the South Texas racing community.
