FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Park City, Kansas March 2, 2015 - The 5th annual Air Capital Shootout is less than four weeks away for the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products sprint car tour and drivers from across the region are gearing up for the $5000 to win; $500 to start feature finale scheduled for 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas on Saturday night, March 28, 2015. And for the second year in a row the Oklahoma based Wingless Oklahoma Warriors sprint car series will also open their 2015 race season.

 

With less than four weeks remaining, lets take a look at the inaugural running of this now annual event.

 

The March 31, 2012 inaugural event saw 39 drivers from seven different states were on hand for the $4000 to win event and it was Eunice, Louisiana national champion Jason Johnson passing Knoxville, Iowas Wayne Johnson with eleven laps to go to claim the 30 lap feature finale.

 

Veteran Danny Lasoski drove the Whitehead Motorsports #8w from twentieth to a runner up finish while tenth starting Brian Brown and W. Johnson finished third and fourth respectively. Don Droud, Jr. rounded out the top five.

 

Luke Cranston led the first three laps of that 2012 event with W. Johnson leading laps 4-19 before J. Johnson passed him in turns three and four to lead the final eleven laps.

Gates for this season opener for the NCRA 360-ci sprint car tour will open at 5:00 PM with racing slated for a 7:00 PM start time.
