Spencer Gallagher

No. 23 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Silverado

Atlanta First Timer ... The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is visiting the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the 14th time in series history, and for the first time since 2012. Spencer Gallagher, driver of the No. 23 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet, is making his first start at AMS and is looking to parlay his strong performance from Daytona International Speedway into a solid finish at the storied 1.5-mile speedway.

Mile-and-a-Half Track Record This weekends race at AMS will mark Gallaghers seventh NCWTS start on a 1.5-mile track. The Las Vegas native has a best career NCWTS finish of 13th on an intermediate track this size at his home track of Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2014. Most recently, Gallagher captured his first ARCA Racing Series victory on the 1.5-mile Kansas Speedway last season.

In the Rearview Mirror - Daytona... In his first trip to the World Center of Racing, Gallagher posted a new track record in round two of qualifying with a speed of 190.146 mph. The Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender ran inside the top 10 for the majority of the races first half, and pushed GMS Racing teammate Ty Dillon to the race lead before being involved in a mid-race incident. The Allegiant Travel team made repairs to the No. 23 Chevrolet and gained three positions after returning Gallagher to the track to finish 21st.

Atlanta Chassis Choice... Gallagher will take the wheel of chassis No. 028 this weekend at AMS. Most recently, GMS Racing employed this Chevrolet at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2014 as the No. 21 Allegiant Travel Silverado with driver Joey Coulter.

Meet Spencer... Gallagher is scheduled to appear at the Team Chevy stage on Friday, Feb. 27 at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time with GMS Racing teammate Ty Dillon. On Saturday, Feb. 28, Gallagher is also scheduled to participate in a Q-&-A session on the Fan Stage at 9:15 a.m. ET. He will also participate in the NCWTS autograph session from 12:15-1:15 p.m. ET. Fans will have the opportunity to collect the first of four specially designed hero cards at any of Gallaghers appearances this weekend at AMS.

SPENCER GALLAGHER QUOTES:

What can you take away from Daytona that will apply to the rest of the season?

"What I saw from our GMS Racing Allegiant Travel team this weekend was the way they came together and worked as one team. Whether it was in practice making sure me and Ty (Dillon) were on the track first in every practice, or even in the race, where everyone came to pitch in to help get my damaged truck back on the track. It was just so cool seeing our team come together at the beginning of the year. Thats nothing but good things going forward.

With your experience on 1.5-mile tracks, what are you expecting on your first AMS start?

This weekend will be my first weekend going to Atlanta (Motor Speedway). Its going to be a great new experience for me. So far, I think Ive been pretty good on the 1.5-mile (tracks). Its actually one of my favorite styles of racing. I did get my last win on a 1.5-mile track in the ARCA (Racing Series presented by Menards) race at Kansas. Im really looking forward to getting out there and showing what we can do.

Ty Dillon

No. 33 Rheem Chevrolet Silverado

This Week's Rheem Chevrolet at Atlanta Motor Speedway ... This weekend Ty Dillon will pilot chassis No. 022 in the Hyundai Construction Equipment 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

A New Degree of Comfort Dillon will sport the iconic Rheem brand on his No. 33 Chevrolet Silverado for this weekends 100-lap event. Rheem, headquartered in Atlanta, is an industry leader for total heating, cooling and water heating solutions. Among the most advanced in technology and design, Rheem is unique with product offerings covering residential and commercial heating, cooling, conventional and hybrid storage-style water heaters, tankless water heaters, solar water heating systems, hydronic and geothermal systems, indoor air quality accessories, and replacement parts for all categories making Rheem a one-stop Air and Water Comfort Solutions provider. Rheem products are world-renowned for their quality, reliability, energy efficiency, and low cost of operation.

Atlanta Nuggets ... The last time the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series visited Atlanta Motor Speedway, Dillon was a rookie in the Series and hadnt made any laps in a truck at the 1.5-mile facility. In his lone appearance, Dillon earned the pole award and led for 40 laps enroute to his first career NASCAR victory.

Race Rewind Dillon and the No. 33 Rheem/Gemaire Distributors team earned the first pole award of the season last weekend at Daytona International Speedway. After starting from the point position, Dillon led for a total of 37 laps during the 100-lap main event. Following a mid-race pit stop, the Welcome, N.C., native lost his drafting partner and was unable to race his way back to the front of the field and finished in the 11th position.

Birthday Candles This Friday, Feb. 27, Dillon will celebrate his 23rd birthday. As member of our GMS Racing family, wed like to wish him a very Happy Birthday.

TY DILLON QUOTES:

This weekend is the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway since 2012. What are your thoughts heading into the weekend?

I love racing at Atlanta (Motor Speedway). My first time racing a truck there, I sat on the pole and won my first ever NASCAR race. It was great. We had a fast Rheem Chevrolet last weekend in Daytona, and I know the guys at GMS Racing will have another fast truck prepared for this weekend.

You will be running two races in one day this weekend. How will you prepare for Saturday?

Stay hydrated. Thats probably going to be my main focus. Ive been really working out hard this off-season to make sure Im in shape to run as many races as I plan on running this year.
