I am misunderstanding something

Recommended Posts

The Classics will be a merge of the Trucks and those Street Stocks that want to run 10" tires more or less. The Street Stock class are using the South Texas Street Stock Shootout rules which require 8" tires. So basically, two "Street Stock" classes and which one you run depend on if you have 8" or 10" tires.

Street Stocks and the Street Stock Shootout are separate entities, just the local Street Stocks use the Shootout rules, so they will run Street Stocks as a regular SOS class when on the schedule and you can run with the Shootout if you want when they come in. The Classics will be independent and on the schedule when they run the Classics class. Basically, the Classics class is a place for the Trucks and those that don't want to get rid of their 10" tires a place to race.

Folks you are making it to difficult on yourselves. It is simple. Street Stocks are a class of thier own running under the STxSSS rules and will run as a scheduled weekly class plus the 2 STxSSS races. This is what SOS agreed too when all the area tracks went to 1 common set of rules for the Street Stock class. The SOS Classics is a group of local drivers that consist of Texana Hot Stock trucks & the old SOS street Stocks that ran on Dirt Boss tires (drivers did not want to change their cars over to STxSSS rules and have been loyal to SOS). These 2 groups are completely seperate and will not be intermixed at all.
