We're actually using the basic Allison rules from back in the day.

 

There is a "new" head that is now legal since the "old" head is no longer available. Use of the "new" head requires a weight penalty under the rules.

 

Please contact James Huff for details about the differences between the two heads... it's a bit out of my department!

I once had an instruction sheet from Allison on this bar,however the pictures above pretty much tells the story.

 

Only thing left out is bar size. It must be 1 1/4 x .083 wall thickness.

 

This bar has a "name" that I can't remember to save my hat.

Mandatory- beginning in 2008 - ALL Allison Legacy Series cars MUST have the new Tuthill Bar added to chassis roll cage. This 1-1/4" .083 round bar will be welded between the dash bar and the top hoop of main roll cage. This bar will be located 21" from the inside of the passenger side window post bar (REFER to Yellow Box area). The driver side of the top of the bar will be centered with the center top hoop brace bar. 100_0222.JPG
