Reutzel Closes Season with Thanksgiving Bash

CLUTE, Texas (November 26, 2014) – Aaron Reutzel is set to finish out a banner 2014 season with this weekend’s $10,000-to-win Thanksgiving Bash for wingless 360-ci Sprint Cars at Southern New Mexico Speedway near Las Cruces.

With eight main event wins to his credit already this year, the driver of the BC Fundz/Wren Motorsports No. 87 Triple X Sprint Car will try to add to the total with this weekend’s Friday-Saturday double that puts the wraps on two weekends of wingless action.

Luck wasn’t on the side of Reutzel and the Momentum Racing Suspensions/Danny Sander Construction/ButlerBuilt team during this past weekend’s Western World Championships.

“It was just a one-lane track and we didn’t draw very well,” Reutzel said of his two qualifying nights at the Western World Championships. “We weren’t really going that great anyway, but if we had drawn the front row I’m pretty sure we could have stayed there.”

Reutzel and the Basic One Services/Lone Star Hydro Maintenance/Wright Way Logistics team are ready to give it another wingless go this weekend at Las Cruces.

“We’re ready to give it another try, it’s gotta go better this time around,” the Clute, TX driver said.

Picking up the initial four wins of his ASCS National career en route to a ranking of ninth in points this year, Reutzel has fared well in a limited number of wingless starts this season with four top-tens in seven tries prior to this past weekend including a runner-up finish at Arizona Speedway to begin this month.

Reutzel will look to go one position better in Saturday night’s $10,000-to-win Thanksgiving Bash finale at Southern New Mexico Speedway.

2014 Quick Stats: 64 races, 8 “A” Main wins, 32 top-fives, 42 top-tens.

Up Next: The $10,000-to-win Thanksgiving Bash featuring non-wing 360-ci Sprint Cars at Las Cruces’ Southern New Mexico Speedway on Friday and Saturday.
