T-Mac Wins at CTS as Space City looms to crown DCRST Champion

Todd McLemore (54) used as early race move to take the lead and win the 25 lap main event in Dwarf Car Racing Series of Texas action at Central Texas Speedway (Kyle, TX) Saturday night.

Jerry Young (18) and Chase Havely (29) paced the field early on but a lap 8 caution gave the Austin, TX driver what he needed as he
was able to move by Young and never look back. Young hung on for the runner up spot as Dwain Groff (14), Rusty Young (88) and Danny Davis (7) rounded out the top 5.

Nineteen cars took the green in the feature and once again the Wild Side Tour raced 3 wide throughout the event and lap times between the drivers was minimal.

Mike McLemore (54), R Young and Arden Vikre (72) notched heat race wins at CTS in race 15.

The points battle will come down to the final points event of the 2014 season set for Saturday October 25th at Houston Motorsports Park at BWFS Industries Night at the Races. Butch Havelka (27) has been atop the standings most of the season but a rough night at CTS allowed D Groff to overtake Havelka and will go in to HMP with the slightest edge over Havelka.

Full race results and point standings are at www.DCRST.com.

DCRST will join the Texas Asphalt Limited Modified Series for the HMP finale which will also include double features for the HMP Modifieds, Trucks, Stocks and Eco Stocks. Visit www.HoustonMotorSportsPark.com for detailed event information
