(August 27, 2014) - The remainder of the 2014 lineup for the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region has been updated. According to Regional Director, Keith Johnson, races at the Leesville 171 Speedway in Leesville, La. have been moved from Saturday, August 30 to Saturday, September 6 as weather reports continued to show an 80%-90% chance of rain in the area this weekend. Other changes include the removal of events at the Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas on Saturday, September 13. With the changes, two dates remain to determine the final standings for the Gulf South Region which Channin Tankersley leads by 109 markers over defending champion, Ray Allen Kulhanek. If Tankersley is able to hold off Kulhanek, it will be his first ASCS Gulf South title. The 2014 season finale is scheduled for September 27 at the Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas.
