(May 14, 2014) - The events Ford and MOPAR lovers have been anxiously awaiting for will return to Memphis International Raceway (MIR) on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8. Manufacturer's weekend kicks off on Saturday, June 7 with Fun Ford Weekend followed by Mega MOPAR Action Series on Sunday, June 8. It's the only place you will find intense drag racing, huge car shows, swap meets, vendor midway, autocross, and all day action for two full days. The fun kicks off Friday evening, June 7 with Test N Tune action and on Saturday, June 8 there's a full day of events lined-up for Fun Ford Weekend. The gates open at 8:00 a.m. and will feature a swap meet, car corral, vendor midway, and drag racing that includes: Fast Ford Challenge, Quick Ford Challenge, Street Ford, True Street, Tuff Truck and MUSTANGGUYS.com Trophy Class. NASA Autocross will run from 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. For autocross pre-registration visit http://midsouth.drivenasa.com/registration.php. Come out and celebrate the Mustang's 50th Anniversary by taking part in the area's largest Ford exclusive car show. There are over 20 classes Ford enthusiasts can participate in and judging begins at 1:00 p.m. and the awards ceremony is scheduled for approximately 3:00 p.m. Ford Racing is also giving away a 2015 5.0 Mustang to help Fun Ford Weekend celebrate Mustang's 50th Anniversary this season. The sweepstakes ends on December 14, 2014. The Mega MOPAR Action Series takes center stage on Sunday, June 8. Celebrate everything MOPAR at this family - friendly event which highlights drag racing, car and truck show, swap meet, vendor midway and autocross. The gates open at 8:00 a.m. and the action packed track schedule includes: Bracket 1 (electronics), Bracket 2 (no electronics) Tuff Truck, Hemi Challenge, Street MOPAR, and S&W Race Cars Challenger Shootout. NASA Autocross will run the second of a two day event from 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. For autocross pre-registration visit http://midsouth.drivenasa.com/registration.php Sunday also features the Official Mega MOPAR Action Series Car & Truck Show with over 20 classes to participate in, all vying for the coveted Best of Show award. Judging for the Car & Truck Show begins at 1:00 p.m. and the awards ceremony is scheduled for approximately 3:00 p.m. Fun Ford Weekend and Mega MOPAR Action Series has something to offer everyone. Kids are invited to take part in the famous Revell Make 'N Take activity to build their very own model car on Saturday.
