Its been six months since thunder has rumbled Salina and the surrounding area. In what many have considered to be a hard, long winter, race fans are chomping at the bit to head west on Crawford and south on Burma to the Salina Speedway. Saturdays open practice session will officially kick off the 2014 season at the Speedway, its fourth consecutive. Gates will open at 2PM with practice starting at 4PM. Pit passes will be $10 while grandstand admission will be FREE for everyone. Race fans are encouraged to check out the competition and get in some free racing action before the season opens on Friday April 25th. Drivers and race teams wishing to compete at the Speedway will have the opportunity to register and have their car inspected. This is also encouraged as it will cut down the lines on opening night.
