"Bunny Hop 25" adds ‘color’ to LoneStar event April 19

 

Kilgore TX (4/11/14) - A great night of racing and family fun is in store at LoneStar Speedway on Saturday, April 19th with the running of the first ever “Bunny Hop 25.”

 

With Easter being the next day, the Saturday April 19th racing program will start with a huge Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. Kids will also be given a entry for kids bike drawings that will take place during the evening. The Easter Bunny will be roaming throughout the grandstands greeting kids – making for great photo ops. So round up the kids and bring them to the races!

 

The Bunny Hop 25 will be a $500 to win, 25-lap feature race for the Factory Stock division, sponsored by DarinShort.com and LoneStar Speedway. A very solid purse breakdown is being offered, and there is no entry fee for any racing division on April 19th.

The Bunny Hop 25 feature race payback is as follows: $500-300-200-180-160-140-120-100-80-80-60-60…and $40 for all other starters of the feature.

 

It will be a point’s race for all LoneStar divisions, and will pay $1,000 to win and $100 to start for Modifieds, and $500 to win and $60 to start for Limited Modifieds. As in each 2014 LoneStar point’s night events, non-qualifier money will be paid in all three divisions: $50 for Modifieds, $30 for Limited Modifieds and $20 for Factory Stocks. There is no entry fee for any race division; all pit passes are $30.

 

Adult tickets will be $12 (ages 12-64), while Seniors/Active Military are $10, Kids (ages 6-11) are $5, and youngsters ages 5 and under are free with Adult admission.

 

Note that this race replaces the April 26th race that was on the schedule in February. This date change took effect on March 20th when we announced the synching of schedules between LoneStar and Ark-La-Tex.

-Pits open at 5pm, Grandstands open at 6pm, Draw Cut off at 6:30pm sharp, Hot Laps at 7pm

-General Admission just $12 (ages 12 to 64)

-Kids (ages 6-11) just $5

-Ages 5 and under admitted free with Adult admission

-Active Military or Senior (Ages 65+): General Admission $10

-Upgrade any ticket to the Reserved Section for $5 per person

-All Pit Passes $30

-No outside food/drink coolers are allowed inside; a full selection of economically priced food concessions, including beer, are available
