AustinF1
De Silvestro picked up by Sauber with an eye to an F1 seat in 2015... http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2014/2/15475.html?utm_source=Twitterfeed&utm_medium=Twitter-F1&utm_campaign=Latest+Headlines She was Indy car rookie oty in 2010. I don't know how she lost her Indy ride, but then again, TK lost his, soo....We saw her in the paddock in Austin. I've thought for a long time that she has what it takes to drive in F1. Good luck to her!
AustinF1
This (very good) Buxton article from last year indicates this has been in the works even longer: http://willthef1journo.wordpress.com/2014/02/14/call-off-the-search-why-simona-is-what-f1-has-been-looking-for/ Especially interesting is the passage about how she has been marketed so differently from many other female athletes. NickHolt
She looks more like the real deal than some of the PR-invented drivers we see these days.
AustinF1
She looks more like the real deal than some of the PR-invented drivers we see these days. Yeah, I like her style. She's a real pro. Hopefully this won't sound too sexist, but imho she approaches racing like a man, but not just like a man....like an old-school race driver. Seems like she's just all business.
