TPS - RACE BULLETIN #9 -Final TPS 2013 Season Race (Formula 1 weekend @ CotA)

CENTRAL TEXAS SPEEDWAY - Kyle, Texas (From I-35 use exit #210, I-35 at Yarrington Rd)

Sponsors - $250 from an Anonymous Austin Area Sponsor (more sponsors needed - contact David Mackey)

 

November 15 - Friday optional practice 10:00am-MIDNIGHT (for further information see details posted on CTS website http://centexspeedway.com) $25 per person in pits.

 

NOV 16 - Pit Gate Opens - 8:00am (TPS cars must pit in assigned area. Pit fire extinguisher required)

 

SATURDAY - Note: TPS crews must sign correct TPS sheet & wear correct wrist band at CTS (tell your crew TPS purse depends)

 

8:30-10:30 Open Practice, TPS Exclusive Practice 12:10-12:20pm & 2:20-2:30pm - TPS practice is mandatory or start Feature Race at rear

 

1:20pm - Deadline for (1) one gate bonus point

 

2:45pm -TPS Drivers Meeting (non-attendance or no practice receives rear race grid penalty) $65 Rollover for $10 discount on 2014 TPS dues

 

3:30pm - CTS Drivers Meeting - (attendance optional)

 

4:30pm - TPS QUALIFYING TIME TRIALS - 2 Laps (time approximate- qual line inverted by 2013 point standings.

 

6:55pm -TPS FEATURE - 25 Laps heads-up - NO GRID LIMIT, dnt's at rear by 2013 points.

Note: If time trials not held or completed, the Feature Race will grid by 2013 TPS points, then order of entry

 

After TPS Feature Race TPS Inspection - weight, carb check, random P&G - Trophy to TPS Feature Winner

 

After all Feature Races are completed - CTS live music concert will be presented on stage until Midnight

 

IF POSTPONED - Per 2013 TPS contract with CTS - rain dates will be negotiated with CTS and announced to all members ASAP. For weather information call TPS Race Director David Mackey cell 512/913-9364 or office 512/280-4869.

 

ENTRY FEE - $60 - per car if paid two weeks in advance by mail/check & completed entry form.

NOTE: Entry fee refunded (less $10) until car passes thru Pit Gate. Must sign TPS or Minors clipboard.

 

LATE ENTRY - $70 - per car if paid late at track in pits (late $10 deposited into TPS Treasury).

 

 

TPS PIT PASS (tent) -$25 - single day ($45 Fri & Sat) Kids 7 & under FREE (Rain checks good rain date) Under 18 parental release

 

GRANDSTAND - $15 - per person adult ($12 Military, Fire, Police, Sr's 55+ & College with ID), Children 12 & under FREE

 

SPECIFICATIONS - TPS 2013 Rules & Specifications (Note: Windshields and rear windows required or be issued a large and increasing weight penalty) Each driver must receive scanner on 154.570 MHz when on track.

 

TRANSPONDER - Must have on all times on track. An AMB Transponder is required to be timed and scored

INVITED CARS - CTS & CCS Mini Stocks accepted provided in compliance with their 2013 rules & weigh by TPS rules. (Invited car upgrades OK: CTS & CCS may use: TPS 13” Hoosier Racing Tires or DOT tires, may use after-market suspension parts, lock drive wheels, may not have external nerf bars, must use rear view mirror(s).

 

MEMBERSHIP - All drivers required to hold valid 2013 Texas Pro Sedans membership to drive on track. One race TPS memberships are available for $25. Car number priority goes to TPS full season $75 members.

 

PURSE - CTS will pay $75 for each running TPS car thru pit gate on Saturday. All CTS and sponosor money goes into TPS purse. TPS Officials paid from appropriate entry fee deduction. Feature Pay Off next week by U.S. Mail.

 

TROPHY - A Trophy for the Texas Pro Sedans Feature Race Winner will be presented by Central Texas Speedway

 

POINTS - Points awarded per TPS Rules - 3 points to fastest new record (16.374) - fastest non-record time wins 1 point

 

INSURANCE - Insurance coverage limits for: Liability, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Medical Excess were not available from CTS at time of publication of TPS Race Bulletin #9. TPS expects this information to be posted at CTS.

 

TPS TIRES - To order Hoosier F 60 8.0/23.0-13” shipped or sold at the track, Call: Jerry Spencer, Hoosier Racing Tires Austin & Kyle @ 512/784-1192 c/o SS Motorsports servicing this TPS race at Central Texas Speedway. 

 

RACE GAS - VP racing gas sold by SS Motorsports, price per gallon TBA (or bring your own).
