Time to break out the popcorn and get ready for Oct. 19th at Texana Raceway Park. The Points Championship has come down to our top 2 drivers and its a nail bitter. 17 points is the difference between the two drivers. 15 points is the difference between 1st and 2nd place for the next feature. Now here is what to keep in mind. Pole Position doesnt offer additional points but what is at stake is this. Winning the pole gives the driver first option of dropping to the back of the feature. Why do you drop to the back you ask? Passing points are awarded, 2 points per each car passed. A total of 46 additional points could be awarded coming from last to first. For either driver it would be enough to crown them 2013 champ if this is the strategy either of them decide to go with. Dropping back does come with great risk on the tight Texana Raceway Park track with 23 cars in front. Boy would that be a heck of a way to win your first championship or your 3rd consecutive shootout championship! Either way its going to be a heck of a way to end this years series seeing it come down to the last possible lap. All of the rest of the top 10 positions are still up for grabs along with several drivers trying to hold on to a top 10 or break into it. We will try to pic several drivers over the next couple weeks are lay out where they are in points, who is nipping at them for their position, who they are trying to overtake and what it will take.

I am definitely shooting for a top ten this year with missing one race already. I have prven other than bo that a big tire car can run with the best. I had fun in corpus. But its time for a home track. Cant wait to crack top ten in this years shootout by also sponsoring the event. But as a competitor i will say I love running wth these guys. They run a clean race for the most part.
