They brought 34 sprint cars on Memorial Day Weekend and these guys are deep in the hunt for the points race. Two time defending ASCS champion, and hometown driver, Ray Allen Kulhanek has never had a feature win at Gator Motorplex in an ASCS sprint car. Can he pull off an ASCS feature win this weekend? Along with the ASCS Sprints, Gator will also be hosting: Limited Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks, and Pure Stocks. Past ASCS Gulf South Region Feature Winners at Gator Motorplex: 5/28/11 – Gary Wright 9/4/10 – Jason Johnson 5/29/10 – Kent Lewis, Jr. 5/23/09 – Skip Wilson 3/28/09 – Jason Johnson 7/19/08 – Tommy Bryant 5/24/08 – Chris Sweeney 9/16/06 – Brad Best 5/27/06 – Chris Sweeney 10/8/05 – Travis Rilat 4/16/05 – Scottie McDonald Driver's Meeting at 6 PM - Hot Laps will follow - After hot laps, Gator owner, Randy Waller will be hosting an Anger Management Course on the front straight away, in an attempt to cool the tempers of the mid-season points chase at Gator. As the season reaches the mid-point, drivers are aggressively trying to sinch up points each night, and the heat plays a big role in aggression and attitude. Last weekend a couple drivers were disqualified and suspended for their actions, so hopefully a proactive approach can cool off the guys and get them focused on a great night of racing prior to taking their cars out on the track.
