David Wright and Cameron Liss both moved closer to the top of the Charger class in a short night of racing at Red River Speedway Saturday night. Wright and Liss would finish first and second in the Charger Feature, putting both drives within 50 points of leader Brooks Payne.

Wright took wins in both the Charger Heat and Charger Feature races, giving the Wichita Falls native an important 125 points in the most snug standings at Red River Speedway. Wright now sits 50 points behind Payne.

Liss and Payne finished second and third respectively, cutting Payne's lead over Liss to just 25 points. Tyler Kingcaid did not finish the Charger Heat, but finished ahead of Dan Geil for fourth in the feature race to take 70 points.

Kingcaid and Geil are fifth and sixth respectively in the standings. Mike Wright, who did not race Saturday, still holds fourth place with a 110 point lead on Kingcaid.

Amanda Shrum also moved closer to Hornet class leader Justin Shrum as she finished first in both the Hornet Heat and Hornet Feature race.

Amanda earned 125 points with the two wins, but Justin placed second to earn 105. Justin still has a sizable 270 point lead on Amanda in the season standings with 960 total points.

"Racing is about the journey not the destination if it wasn't it would simply be called Arriving"

"The solution is people need to spend more of their efforts on promoting and finding more people to race with, rather then a personal quest to form a class that they can win at."
