KISS_Racing
Wow... I have a hero card of hers. I believe it was from one of the Grand National races she ran. Her ex-husband sold me my F-350 when he was at Jennings Anderson Ford in Boerne. My heart goes out to the family... Mark

TGural
Sometimes I've been called the "1st Lady of Racing" (Late Models), but have always recognized and admired Sherry and Robin McCall as the true 1st Ladies of TX Late Model Racing. Both of them paved the way for women racers here and were able to have some good runs Nascar racing. A great racer! RIP - Sherry Blakely Somewhat related - I once joked and considered trying to get a tampon sponsorship. But after hearing about Sherry's condom sponsored car being banned, thought better of it. How times have changed. Now okay for a man to run Viagra car. Kinda funny, huh?
KISS_Racing
That what's on the hero card. I didn't want to say that...
txtom
When Sherry had the Ramses Sponsorship, I thought a great advertisement slogan would be "Ramses Condoms--Where the rubber meets the road".

txtom
Now okay for a man to run Viagra car. Kinda funny, huh? Sorta like the "Extenze" car. I always thought they had different templates for that car; the nose always seemed to be longer and wider than the other cars........................ NeilTPS
It was shocking to read that Sherry Blakley had passed away at the all to young age of 48. Sherry was one of the few female TIDA Late Model drivers. She started off as a “Rookie, but became a veteran in a very short time. Under the guidance of her father Jack, she quickly learned how to mix it up with many experienced male drivers on the TIDA southwest circuit such as Slick Yoemans, John Kelly, Rick Rapp, David Umscheid, Greg Davidson, Jay Watson and dozens of other well-known drivers. I have informed the two Chief Inspectors from the days when Sherry Blakley raced in the TIDA-LM Series, Cotton Sherland and Bob Castleberry. They send their condolences. My most sincere condolence is extended to Sherry Blakley’s family.
