Date of race: August 28th, 2010 Place: Texana Raceway Park, Edna TX. Event: The Aaron Hudgeons' Memorial Race Entry Fee: $100 includes driver, car and transponder. Driver's meeting at 6:15 PM Races start at 7:30 PM Class of cars: Limited / Sport Mods Only! No other classes will run this night. Races: This info based on 40 cars. Qualifying: Time trials: everyone gets 2 laps, best single lap time counts towards qualifying. Top 10 qualifying times go to A-Main This may be adjusted according to car count. Heat races: 4 races, depending on car count, 10 laps. Top 2 in each heat, qualify to A-Main B-Main race: 12 laps- top 6 cars go to A-Main. So, time trials 10 cars qualify 4 heats = 8 cars qualify B-Main = 6 cars qualify Total = 24 cars in A-Main A-Main = 40 Laps Everyone will have 3 chances to make it into the money race! We have had money come in for this race event and more is promised! If you would like to donate any money to this race please PM me here or email me at buster@awesomenet.net so I can keep track of the amounts. I will get your info and get back to you. Because of the monies coming in and also promised, we do not have a complete total, This is what I can post thus far. Purse: 1st Place = $1,500 2nd - 10th to be completed after tally of monies, it's already a healthy purse. 11th - 24th place = $100 to start. Plus Kurt Hudgeons, Aaron's Dad, has put up $200 for highest finishing "RUSH" Chassis. This is the chassis that the Hudgeons' built. Thanks to the Hudgeons' family and to all the racers and fans supporting this event. And thanks to all the people helping us to put on this show.
