SASPEEDRACER24
I have a chevy block with the 3 hole starter mount set up but use the standard 2 hole starter with the equal holes not the offset ones.... On the outer side bolt hole for the mount 2 cracks have formed on the end of the block at the bolt hole. Other than trying to find someone that can nickle weld the cracks what other options are there that work... One option I was told that may work was to look for a GM 3 hole starter tighten up the two inner holes and use a longer than normal bolt for the outer hole... Any other suggestions besides pulling the motor and getting a new block? Also if it has to be nickle welded can it be done without pulling the motor? Thanks ahead of time for any help... Racer26
Drill and tap the hole deeper. I've got two of them that way now.
