arob
winger I don't think you could of picked a better group of 3 cars that would better represent the class at that time. The 1 and 11 cars had quite a bitter rivalry goin and the Hardcastle car was one of the bestcars that ever hit that track. I have a bunch of pics in a drawer somewhere and if I can learn how to post them I will soon. Was good seeing the Corvette bodied car again. Neal Rogers
Any one remember the mud bogs and the MX track,,,, those were the days!
HiTech
the mud bog tracks were great if i dont say so myself ..i dug em with an old srapper .... the mx track was knocked down when oneal had it .after frank took the track back over .he was not a happy camper .... one the mud pits were out in the parking lot .plus the mx track was flattened out .and nothing but some old tires were left of it .. so he hired my older brother and i to clean it up .tear down the fences oneal put up ..redug the mud track back to where the pits are now ..and tons of other work ..just to get it back opened ...we replaced or added some wall in turn two .to help keep cars from flying out like rick rapp and so many other had gone over kinda cheaply done ...don sr fixed the walls alot better later on .........that table top jump from the mx track was an old bridge .. it is now buried in the area of the scales .. HiTech
looking at ricks 57 speed world had just bout what you needed if you had the money . .was this terrys old 57 I know someone bought it and it got stuffed into the opening under the flag stand one night front spring ended up in turn one I was in the oil field then and did not get to see too many races In the mid 70s
ronster63
Nah, that 57 Chevy began it's life as Steve Copeland's car. It was partnered with my dad Pete Peterman and Steve. Then, my dad bought the car from Steve and raced it as the number 06, and then my dad sold it to Ricky Rapp. The 1967 Chevelle that Ricky Rapp raced also came from my dad. I have the pictures of the Chevelle being built in our driveway.

Mel
Yes, the car did have a long life. On the CC thread there are a few pics of the original owner building a car in 1972. I believe this is the same car. Original owner's name was Peterman I believe.
ronster63
Yes sir Mel. That is the car that my dad Pete Peterman built. I do remember seeing that car race dressed in that exact paint scheme after my dad sold it. I'm pretty sure I have a picture of it somewhere except I believe the number was painted on the side.
