January 24 (Saturday) – 10:00am-4:00pm - $50 for car/driver, no charge for others THR Banquet: Will be held on Saturday, January 24 at 6:00pm. TPS will present two appreciation awards to THR and recognize 2008 TPS Champion - Sergio Hexsel, 2008 TPS Rookie of the Year - Bob Sherland and TPS Chief Steward - Jack Foy. 1-Crew Posted January 15, 2009 Report Share Posted January 15, 2009 As an example, the October 18, 2008 Red River Speedway event had the following provision: "Feature Race grid limit - 22 cars. 1st 12 by qual times, 13th thru 18th - 1st 6 in LC race, 19th thru 22nd to best in 2008 TPS points." Considering the growing list of TPS members, the continued interest of drivers outside our normal region, historically strong support by Red River Speedway and the two day race format for this years Red River Speedway events, I would not at all be surprised to see the need for a last chance race at one or both of the Red River Speedway dates. NeilTPS Posted January 16, 2009 Author Report Share Posted January 16, 2009 David and Mike: The "draft" format for the May 23 & 24 separate races at Red River Speedway is being prepared and will probably specify the following regulations to qualify for each 40 lap feature race: Positions 1 thru 12 by fastest Qualifying Times Positions 13 thru 16 by LC (Last Chance Qual Race) Finish Positions 17 thru 20 by highest standings in 2009 TPS points Thank you for asking on the new TPS Forum - Neil Upchurch btw: Other elements, such as the best two purses of the early 2009 race season is also being calculated.
