Houston Motorsports Park Posted December 6, 2007 Report Share Posted December 6, 2007 HMP is proud to announce the following races for “The 2nd Annual Speedfest,” our season opener on March 15th: ASA PRO LATE MODEL 100 Lap Feature $5000 to Win PRO MODIFIED 75 Lap Feature $3000 to Win PRO TRUCK 50 Lap Feature $1500 to Win PRO STOCK 40 Lap Feature $1000 to Win Purse will be paid all the way to last place and all fields will be set by qualifying order. HMP Tech Director, Randy Andersen and THR Tech Director, Jack Sandefur are working on a formula that will allow the THR Thunderstocks to compete with the HMP Pro Stocks at Speedfest. SpeedFest Purse Payouts will be as follows: $5000 To Win for ASA Pro Late Model $3000 To Win for Pro Modified $1500 To Win for Pro Truck $1000 To Win for Pro Stock For 2nd through last place in each class above, HMP will pay a purse based on 75% of the gross back gate income (car entry fees and pit passes) from each class. There is SUBSTANTIAL savings for all pre-registered prior to March 1, 2008. In addition, all pre-registered drivers have the option to pre-purchase general admission tickets for only $5 per ticket. Those fees are listed at the top of the registration form. That fee will get the car, trailer and tow vehicle into the pits. Everyone in the pits including the driver must purchase a pit pass. The purse for first place is posted. The purse for 2nd through last will be 75% of the total entry fees and pit passes purchased per class. Hopefully, I am not still confusing.
