yea there is a lot of history there. i remember going to watch my unlce mike out at the dirt track racing his sprint car and watching the jet dragsters from the top of the stands at the asphalt track.

I wasn't aware Mikey Waltrip had been in San Antonio!

Wow i have those same memories, but i was just a little guy back then, maybe 8 years old, i used to love going out there to watch the races with my dad and remember that huge big rig that had like two jet engines or something ridiculous. Never thought id be racing someday too, but also never thought it would close down
