TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY READY FOR JOB FAIR, WATCHING PARTY, AND TICKETSTOCK

 

FORT WORTH-DALLAS (Feb. 5, 2003) - With less than 50 days until race week,

Texas Motor Speedway is shifting into high gear in preparation for the NASCAR

Winston Cup Series Samsung/RadioShack 500 and Busch Series O'Reilly 300 races.

In the next two weeks, Texas Motor Speedway will be hosting a job fair for

people interested in working during race week, hosting a Daytona 500 Watching

Party, and participating in KTCK Radio's Ticketstock 2003.

 

JOB FAIR: The Texas Motor Speedway Job Fair is Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10 a.m. to

2 p.m. inside the Winston Cup garage in the speedway infield. A wide variety of

event positions are available for speedway departments, concessions, and

merchandising. Speedway departments participating include operations, tickets,

concessions, suites, catering, and merchandising. Texas Motor Speedway is

looking for you to join the team for major events to be held during the 2003

season.

 

DAYTONA 500 WATCHING PARTY: Members of The Speedway Club at Texas Motor Speedway

annually enjoy a special day in The Grand Ballroom at the club to watch the

Daytona 500. This year's event is Sunday, Feb. 16, and nearly 500 club members

and special guests will be treated to exquisite dining and luxurious comfort to

watch NASCAR Winston Cup Series' season-opening event. Check-in begins at 9

a.m. with pace car rides given from 9 a.m. to noon. The green flag drops on the

Daytona 500 at 11:00 a.m. (CDT). For membership information to The Speedway

TICKETSTOCK 2003: Texas Motor Speedway is again part of KTCK Radio's Ticketstock

at the Plano Centre, Friday through Sunday, Feb. 14-16 (Fri. 5-10 p.m.; Sat. 10

a.m. - 6 p.m.; Sun. 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.). The weekend sports extravaganza features

area sports teams and celebrities with the radio station broadcasting live from

the site throughout the three days. Stop by the Texas Motor Speedway booth and

pick up 2003 racing season information. The Plano Centre is located at 2000 E.
