  1. HMP/TSTRS Info

Hey HMP/TSTRS Race Teams! If you are interested in some signage around the perimeter of the track let me know. The image of the track below, from pole to pole horizontally it is 12.5' - 13.5' apart. These signs will be a banner material and will be 8.5' tall and 18' - 24' wide. We are working with a sign company now to determine that. They will be up for the July 6th Advance Auto Parts Firecracker Blowout through July 2020. There is a $250 production cost, and the sign is $1000. I know that is a lot, and if you get any push back from your sponsors when trying to sell them because well, we are a risk - then I will invoice them quarterly for the cost of the sign, $250 each payment. But up front, they have to pay a $250 production fee plus the first payment of $250. The production cost covers design and (1) change out during the year if needed. I will make sure we keep them looking fresh. NOW- if you are a race team or a driver and this sign is a sponsor of your race team on your race car, uniforms or hauler I will give you back $100 every time they make a payment including the first one. Now I will say this, I am not going to chase your sponsor for money if they do not pay their invoice. I will take the sign down before any race if they are behind on payments. I do electronic invoicing, they click to pay it with any credit card. After the year, they can have the sign. I have a minimal amount of signs I can afford to do this on, so let me know quickly. These are the signs that our wonderful Race Announcer - Rodney Rodriguez will be talking about during your race - because he will know which signs go with which class/drivers etc. These are also the signs the track photographer can snap a picture of your race car in front of to give to your sponsors to show off. Have you seen his pictures? They are great! You can park your race car, team, hauler, etc in front of the sign and take pictures for hero cards, whatever you need to do to make it worth your sponsors' investment, I will work with you to make happen. Please note: I do have some current sponsor exclusivities that can impact what companies I can display, so email me the details if you are interested. And I cannot take any pre-printed banners. **UPDATE - Signs start going up Monday, June 24th. (thank you Chris Schild for the awesome track pics!) 5. Texas Asphalt Racing Series 2018 Schedule Release January 3, 2018 The Texas Asphalt Racing Series promoted by Raymond Delahoussaye and managed by Amy and Aaron Hogan has released the 2018 race schedule for Houston Motorsports Park. The 2017 Liberty Bell 200 and Speed Fest were very successful events and subsequently led to the expansion of the 2018 schedule to four races with the possibility of more races being added if sponsorship for the events can be obtained. The classes returning to race with the series include the Pro-Modifieds, Pro Late Models, Pro Trucks, Super Stocks, Outlaw Stocks, Factory Stocks, NASKARTS, Dwarfs, Eco Stocks and the Allison Legacy cars with a minimum car count per class requirement. In addition, the ever popular intermission driver/fan race car on track meet and greet will be put back into the race program, so drivers update your hero cards and get your give aways ready for the fans. Any businesses interested in series sponsorship of the Texas Asphalt Racing Series can contact Amy Hogan at amy@texasasphaltracingseries.com.

  7. 05-31-2017 Texas Asphalt Racing Series Press Release – Pro Sedans Part of race line up for the Liberty Bell 200 on July 8th, 2017. The Texas Asphalt Racing Series and Raymond Delahoussaye are proud to announce the addition of the Pro Sedans to the racing program for the Liberty Bell 200 race to be run at Houston Motorsports Park on July 8th, 2017. As soon as Lalo Leal, a Pro Sedan racer, heard that there would be races again at Houston Motorsports Park he quickly got in contact with Raymond Delahoussaye, the Director of the Texas Asphalt Racing Series, to find out how to get his class on the schedule. When he was informed he needed fifteen or more cars to race he got to work contacting those who used to race at Central Texas Speedway. The Pro Sedans was one of the larger classes of cars that raced at Central Texas Speedway. Even though they were once a large class it still wasn’t an easy feat to accomplish because many of the old Texas Pro Sedan racers have converted their cars over to dirt. However, Lalo prevailed and was able to get the cars together to pre-register before the June 8th pre-registration deadline. The Pro Sedans are a 4 cylinder racing series that is highly competitive and a fun series for the fans to watch. They will be a great addition to the Liberty Bell 200’s race line up. The Texas Asphalt Racing Series and Raymond Delahoussaye appreciate the support of all the Pro Sedan racers who pre-registered to get their class on the schedule.
  8. We wanted to let you all know what is going on with the TARS at HMP in regards to the July 8th race. First, we are only pre-registering the support classes that can bring us a list of 15 or more drivers and their pre-registration money in order to lock in their spot for the July race. We have one class locked in, the NASKARTS, and we will lock in one to two more classes. Any supporting class that can pay the registration fee, plus one pit pass fee per driver, for 15 or more drivers 30 days prior to the event will be locked into the race. We have posted the Pro Modified, Pro Late Model, and Pro Truck Rules to the Facebook page and we will post them to LoneStar Speedzone shortly. We also have posted the Super Stock rules which we will be revising shortly because we heard all your concerns and are making the adjustments. The Outlaws class will run the Pensacola rules as a separate class if they can pre-register 15 or more drivers by May 8th. If there are less than 15 drivers, the Outlaws will be allowed to race with the Super Stocks with a weight penalty (which has yet to be determined) or they can choose to run with the Late Models. We are hoping to go live with our website this weekend. It will have all the rules and forms posted. We will also post the registration forms for the July 8th race. However, we won’t start taking the registration forms and payments until at least mid-May. Purses will be posted soon. We are working on several things that go into determining the money for the purses so please be patient with us. If you should have any other question please message us or call Raymond Delahoussaye.
