GOING HOME DAY! Thank you all so much for all of the prayer, encouragement, texts, calls, cards, visits & every other way you have supported him & our family over the last 3 1/2 weeks! There is no way to truly express the gratitude we have to y’all. Tonight he came home!! Home health will be visiting the house with nursing, PT & OT. Until he gets his strength back & learns how to get around better, he will have a caregiver available to him. The doctors encouraged him to get out a little, as he has the strength. We know his first stop will be to see his dog at the shop! He is so much more clear-headed today that it’s almost unbelievable, but don’t be surprised if you talk to him & it takes a while to get back to “his version of normal”. He does have his phone. Please feel free to call but give him until around 9-10 am before calling because he has a nurse coming to check in on him & it will probably take while for his sleep to get straight.
He has no idea yet what a miracle it is that he is still with us, but those of us that paced the floors, worried & prayed sure know & we are so blessed that he is still here! Thanks y’all & please keep praying & checking in on him, as he adapts & heals!
